DO take your participation seriously. While you should
not take a research study to be akin to a test or an exam, you should
nonetheless participate with integrity - pay attention to instructions and be
sincere in your responses.
DO put your handphone on silent while the study is in progress.
DO be punctual. Often, studies cannot begin until all participants
are present, and your tardiness will inconvenience all concerned.
DO NOT participate in a study and have a meal at the same time.
Please treat each study seriously and work on your given tasks in
teach study quietly and following the specific instructions given by the
research assistant or professor conducting the study. DO NOT talk to your
neighbours. Distractions to yourself or to other students in the study can ruin
the research study, resulting in a big waste of everyone's time. Not everyone
in the same study has the same questionnaire, and some students may take longer
than others - if you finish early, please wait until you get instructions on
the next task - if you are taking longer than others, DON'T feel pressured to
finish quickly.
